Ally and Logan’s Colorado Springs Air Force Chapel wedding was iconic for this Colorado wedding photographer because in late 2018, the chapel will be closing for 4-6 years for repairs and restoration. So Ally and Logan were one of the last to say “I do” beneath it’s towering ceiling and stained glassed windows.
If you were to wake up the morning of Ally and Logan’s wedding in Colorado Springs you would have seen a heavy blanket of fog, frosted pine trees and impending storms on the campus of the Air Force Academy. As Ally and her bridesmaids started prepping their hair and having their make up done, the fog softly lifted and gave way to the Colorado sunshine. And by the time Ally did a happy-tears first look with her dad, it was a beautiful day for a wedding.
Their wedding ceremony was filled with special touches and Ally and Logan made a point to include their close friends and family wherever they could: reading a special passage from the bible that meant the world to Ally and Logan, playing their favorite song during their ceremony, and involving their parents in their unity candle ceremony were all special ways they included their friends and family.
After their wedding, we drove around the Air Force property, stopping along the way to explore the mountains and get some gorgeous mountain views. These two’s love for having fun with each other was undeniable. From the way Logan could make Ally do the squinty eye laugh – you know? The laugh that is undeniably real to the core. To the way Ally shed a few tears while saying thanks to her family a friends for their commitment and support of them – there was no doubt that these two are people who make a big difference in other’s lives and have a whole lot of fun, love and adventure ahead of them in their marriage!
