Backcountry Skiing Elopement Near Breck | Natassja & Thomas

Natassja and Thomas met through a mutual friend. After dating for only a short time, Natassja shared with Thomas that she had this big dream of moving to New Zealand (like, permanently). Thomas, surprisingly, had wanted to go there as well, and together these two actually moved to New Zealand where they currently live and are in the process of obtaining residency.

Even though these two live on a different continent, they wanted to get married in a way that reminded them of all the fun and adventures they had when they were first dating in Colorado. One of their favorite adventures was back-country skiing.

For their wedding day, these two strapped on their skis, skinned up the mountain, skied down the aisle, said their vows and hit the fresh powder at their favorite backcountry skiing spot.

Afterward, they cracked their favorite beer (and were so sweet to bring one for me) and toasted to having a just-us, fun, relaxed wedding day.

The whole day, a magical mist of snow flurried through the ski and sparkled in the sun – almost as if it was giving these two the biggest smile and congrats on their wedding day,
