Black Sand Beaches to Colorado Peaks | Leanna & Brian

Posted On | July 10, 2025

Some love stories travel far before finding their home in the mountains. Leanna and Brian’s journey started on Hinge in Philadelphia, where a night of mini-golf and people-watching stretched into five hours of laughter, teasing, and easy conversation. They knew quickly that this was the beginning of something special, though it would take a few months before they openly admitted they were in love. Fast forward, and here they were, exchanging vows in Colorado, far from the crowds, in a day that felt entirely theirs.

The rings themselves were a nod to family and tradition, coming from a family-owned jewelry business on Leanna’s side. While they had planned a small ceremony with close family, medical issues made travel impossible. They signed the official marriage license with their parents at home, but that didn’t stop them from creating an intimate, intentional day together in the mountains.

The morning began at their cabin in Breckenridge, where Leanna and Brian got ready separately, excitement buzzing in the air. Details were captured—the vow books, the rings, the simple beauty of the flowers they chose together. Their first look happened outside on the deck, quiet and joyful, a soft pause before the adventure of the day.

From there, we drove toward Blue Lakes, stopping briefly at a secret waterfall for photos before continuing to the trailhead. A short hike led us to the upper valley, where they exchanged vows overlooking the pristine lakes, the mountains reflected in the water around them. It was intimate, personal, and unhurried—every word spoken with intention, every glance full of love.

After their ceremony, they returned to their cabin to cook together, a simple yet meaningful ritual. Pasta in a vodka cream sauce—their favorite—filled the kitchen with the comfort of home, while engraved champagne flutes waited to toast the day. Leanna changed into her dress from their courthouse wedding, carrying the same quiet significance and joy into their Colorado celebration.

The late afternoon took us to Loveland Pass, where the views stretched endlessly in every direction. Drone shots captured them exploring the alpine valleys and lake, but the real magic happened as the sun dipped behind the mountains. The colors were impossibly vivid, a sunset that seemed to last forever, washing the peaks in gold and pink, highlighting every laugh, every glance, every quiet moment between the two of them. Blue hour followed, the sky deepening to indigo as we captured the last light of the day.

Leanna and Brian’s relationship is full of laughter, inside jokes, and shared adventures—quiet, candid moments that matter more than a grand spectacle. Whether quoting movies, singing silly songs about their pets, or building Lego sets together, they’ve crafted a life rooted in joy and connection. They support each other through challenges, celebrate each other’s victories, and navigate life with humor and heart.

By the end of the day, there was no rush, no audience, just two people who chose each other—again—in a place that made sense for them. Their Colorado elopement wasn’t about grandeur; it was about intimacy, adventure, and love in its purest form. Sometimes, the best weddings don’t come with a crowd—they come with mountains, a sunset, and someone who makes you feel entirely at home.
