Boulder Waterfall Elopement | Giedre + Brooke

Giedre and Brooke are two humans who truly embraced creating a wedding day that truly felt like themselves.

We started planning their day around sunset photos, but as we got into the details and who these two truly are at the core, they decided that sunrise was a truer expression of their relationship.

Giedre and Brooke love to run races together (heck, they are even doing a week+ trailrunning trip through Canada for their honeymoon!). Part of race days is waking up before the sun to lace up your shoes and start running. Their other favorite ritual is getting up early for a morning walk with their coffee and their dogs before they start their workday.

So we shifted their wedding plan to hike up to a lookout at sunrise. And, DAMN, I’ve never seen so many incredible golden colors from a sunrise last that long. These two shared special presents with each other, drank coffee, caught up on life, and soaked in a glowy, peaceful morning.

After their private sunrise and exploring the mountains and a waterfall near Boulder, we headed back to their rental home. Overlooking a mountain lake, Brooke’s best friend officiated and family stood nearby and witnessed their personal vows to each other.

Their morning ended with a private chef who cooked up their favorite brunch – eggs benedict for Brooke and savory waffles for Giedre (complete with a nod to Giedre’s Lithuanian roots with potato latkes and saltibarsciai).

Thank you, you two, for staying true to yourselves on your wedding day and making it exactly how you wanted it. What a MAGICAL morning!

I am so glad that my wife and I had Larissa as the photographer for our elopement. The pictures turned out absolutely amazing. They’re so gorgeous we haven’t been able to stop looking at them. Whenever we show people our wedding photos, they always comment on what a talented photographer we had.

Not only did Larissa shoot our elopement, she also helped us plan the dang thing! We knew we wanted to elope in Colorado, and that’s about it. We were stressed and overwhelmed…and then we found Larissa. She helped us fill in all the details from where to go to what time of day to do everything. She made the planning process feel like a breeze, which is extra remarkable given that we only contacted her 3 months in advance of when we wanted to get married.

Probably the best part of working with Larissa was what a delight she was to be around. She’s warm and enthusiastic and just immediately put us at ease. We felt super comfortable around her, which is probably a big part of why the pictures turned out so great.

We waffled about whether or not we wanted to spend a few thousand dollars hiring a wedding photographer. After all, part of the reason we were eloping was to avoid the costs of a traditional wedding. In hindsight, it was worth every penny and we are SO glad we did it. Larissa did an amazing job capturing what the day was like, and we will treasure these incredible photos for the rest of our lives.

TLDR Larissa is the best, don’t get married in Colorado without her.
