Brainard Lake Elopement | Taylor + Will

Taylor and Will’s Brainard Lake elopement went from plan A, to plan B, to plan C, D, and E. With COVID and uncertainty about when the summer road to Brainard Lake would open, these two rolled with the punches. But in the end, we think there couldn’t have been a more perfect wedding day for Taylor and Will.

Taylor and Will met the first day of high school on the bus. Will accidentally tripped Taylor as she was stepping off the bus and although she originally said no to being his girlfriend, it only took a few more weeks of friendship to start their life together. Out of the 6 years they’ve been dating, they knew they wanted to get married for the past 3.

Taylor and Will had planned an intimate wedding in Breckenridge, but when COVID prevented their close family and friends from getting together, we had to re-imagine what their wedding day could look like. It was super important to still have their immediate family there for the ceremony, so we found a beautiful lake-side spot for their vows. Afterward, Taylor and Will hiked 2.5 miles up to Brainard Lake for some epic views! At the top, these two popped champagne, enjoyed a picnic, and spent a few moments snuggling and reading together.
