Colorado Waterfall Elopement | E’Beth + Brendan
Posted On | April 5, 2022
Would you believe me if I told you this waterfall elopement was in Colorado?
When Brendan and E’Beth told me they wanted a Colorado waterfall elopement in early April, I had to do quite a bit of research and digging around to find one that would be guaranteed to be flowing. The end result was this triple waterfall that didn’t disappoint!
But first, let me back up and tell you their story….
You know that feeling when you just meet someone, but you instantly felt like you’ve been friends forever? That is EXACTLY how I felt with E’Beth + Brendan. They are just so calm, driven, adventurous, intentional and kind. They love country music and cracking a beer at the end of a hike. And when I first met them over zoom to talk about the possibility of planning and photographing their elopement, I instantly begged the higher powers that they would pick me – they were that cool.
This past April, on a crisp spring morning, we met at the parking lot of a triple waterfall. Waterfalls have always meant a lot to these two. They love exploring new waterfalls around their home of Louisville, KY and many of their early dates were hiking through lush forests to discover a new fall. So there was not a doubt in their mind that a Colorado waterfall elopement was exactly what they wanted.
After exploring the waterfall, they said their private vows on the edge of a reservoir overlooking the western slope of the Rocky Mountains. It was such a genuine moment of love and happiness and excitement for all their life has yet to be together.
We ended the day with a hike up a red-dirt trail to an incredible lookout of Mt. Sopris. Then headed back to their AirBnB to pop champagne, eat cake (the debate is still up if the peanut-butter chocolate or margarita cake was better) and hum their first dance song because the internet went out.
If I could relive a day over again, it would be this day in a heartbeat. These two. That waterfall. Those happy tears shed. And those views all were moments that I’ll never ever forget.
