Emilie and Jacob’s Crested Butte wildflower elopement was what dreams are made of.

It’s always so easy to tell when a couple has been together for a long time. There’s something different about how they hold each other, the looks that they share, and the feeling that you get simply being around them when there’s a long shared history of love and trust.

Together since they were 16 years old, it was immediately clear how well Emilie and Jacob fit together, and just how long they had been waiting for their wedding day. They had dreamed of sharing their vows on a peaceful sunny day surrounded by wildflowers, a blue lake, and green grass, and their Crested Butte wildflower elopement made it all possible!

After spending the afternoon writing their vows and slowly getting ready, we took a dirt road to the first stop of the day – a picnic at an alpine lake. They share some cake and charcuterie with each other and their pup, Gumbeaux, before heading to our next stop.

Walking through a field of wildflowers, Emilie and Jacob found the perfect spot to say their vows just as the sun started to dip behind the mountains. After receiving cheers and congratulations from a group of horseback riders along the trail, they shared their first dance and a glass of bubbly.

As the sun’s golden light finally disappeared from the sky, they took a few moments to slow down and soak up the moment just as the horses were heading back to the pasture.

We ended their Crested Butte wildflower elopement making s’mores on their back patio, giddy from what an incredible day they shared.
