Summer Sapphire Point + Loveland Pass Wedding | Samantha + Zach

Posted On | June 9, 2022

Samantha + Zach met in college when they had the same class together. They both immediately found each other interesting, with Samantha telling her parents about a cool park ranger she met, and Zach noting in his pocket journal that he needed to strike up a conversation with her again. They started regularly walking to their next class together until Zach finally decided to ask her out on a date.

From there, their relationship quickly blossomed. Zach finally decided to propose one evening while walking with their dogs in the state park where they live. According to Samantha, “When I turned around, he was standing holding the ring in the air with both hands rambling about how he’d had the ring in his pocket for months trying to pick a perfect moment but ultimately decided that there are too many perfect moments. I asked him why he was standing and he said ‘I’m really nervous and forgot.’ We laughed for a minute and then he got on one knee and placed the ring on my finger.”

When planning their wedding, they wanted to make sure they were able to spend quality time with their loved ones while still having some alone time to explore.

We started the day getting ready with their friends and pups at their Airbnb. Their friends cheered them on as they shared their first look on the porch before joining up with the rest of their family for their ceremony.

Samantha and Zach said “I do” in front of their loved ones at Sapphire Point with lots of chipmunks cheering them on in the background.

After lots of hugs and happy tears, we set off to explore on our own. Zach surprised Samantha with the journal that he had written about her in the very first day met before they shared their private vows.

The rest of the evening was spent enjoying a bottle of wine and charcuterie board, listening to the distant thunder, and watching a beautiful sunset. It was the perfect end to the perfect day!
