If you’ve ever wondered how to include your pups in your elopement, Laura and Charles did it perfectly!
When Laura and Charles first met online in 2016, Laura admits that it was a picture of Charles’ dog, Axle, that first sparked her interest. It was important to her that she find someone who loved dogs and would embrace her big dog, too. She had mentioned in one of their chats before their first date that her dog Chase’s birthday was coming up. When the two met up for drinks for the first time they instantly hit it off. As they were walking to the car at the end of the night, Charles surprised Laura with a birthday present for Chase!
When we started looking for locations for their elopement, we knew that we needed to find a spot where Axle and Chase could join in. This spot in Estes Park, CO fit the bill! On the day of their wedding, all five of us hiked up to an overlook where they said their vows among mountains and wildfire smoke, with Axle and Chase cheering them on from a distance.
We spent the rest of the evening hiking into a meadow where they shared a picnic complete cupcakes among the trees, and reveled in the gorgeous, smoke-filled sunset.
Laura + Charles, we are SO glad that we were able to include your fur-boys in your big day, and can’t wait to follow along on your next journey!
