If you have lived in Colorado for more than two years you know that a late spring snow storm is totally not out of the norm for Denver. The morning of Chery and Tony’s spring wedding, we were blessed with puffy wet snow flakes that covered the ground in a blanket of white. Even though it was unexpected, it ended up being a gorgeous backdrop to their intimate wedding. I am so thankful to Heather of Bertarelli Photography for allowing me to help capture this day as a second shooter.
As Chery got ready in a room of the Denver University campus, her daughters and best friend helped her put on her necklace and earrings and tie up the back of her dress as we all watched snow fall outside the windows. With soft light streaming in the stained glass windows, Chery and Tony committed their love for each other with a small gathering of close family and friends. They wanted to make their ceremony personal which included handwritten vows, music from their favorite songs and their friend’s voice singing to them during the ceremony.
We finished off their celebration with pictures in the snowy spring Denver University campus as Chery and Tony drove off to continue celebrating with their family.
