From Deja Vu to I Do in a Stunning Winter Wonderland | Andrea + Bryce

Posted On | December 29, 2020

If you’ve ever dreamed of getting married in a winter wonderland, Andrea + Bryce’s Rocky Mountain National Park elopement is a perfect example of how gorgeous it can be!

How they met

The first night that Andrea + Bryce met, they both described feeling what they later described as deja vu, as if they had always known each other. They met at a mutual friend’s house party and had their first official date at a Gogol Bordello concert outside at a grungy dive bar. Andrea loved that Bryce had a collection of books and a great sense of adventure and Bryce thought Andrea was wild, funny and laughed a lot.

The Proposal

Bryce surprised Andera with a winter hike to her favorite bluff in Minnesota. Andrea thought nothing of it since they had explored the bluff together many times before, but it was an easy yes when he popped the question at the top! After their sentimental proposal, they knew they wanted a snowy winter wedding.

Their Wedding Day

What started out as a cold, clear morning in Estes Park quickly turned into our own real life snow globe as snow started blanketing us at the start of their sunrise ceremony. After doing the dang thing and sharing their first kiss, we spent the day exploring a fresh winter wonderland. They warmed up with some coffee and a cake brought with them all the way from Minnesota for breakfast, and shared their first dance as the sun finally decided to peek out from behind the clouds! There’s nothing better than a stress free wedding day surrounded by fresh snow and mountains. Here’s to wishing Andrea + Bryce a lifetime of adventure + happiness!

My husband and I wanted to elope in Colorado and honestly debated getting a photographer because we are pretty private, low-key, and not necessarily “photogenic” kinds of people. We decided to go with We, The Light Photography and are absolutely glad that we did! Bailey was super helpful leading up to our big day (especially considering COVID and wild fires)–she kept us informed and went above and beyond to help us prepare for our ceremony. Bailey made us feel comfortable and at ease for our photos–it felt very natural and not staged. She was also very flexible and when one of our sites we wanted pictures taken at was not great weather-wise she had suggestions for other places. The place we ended up going gave us some of our favorite photos! Our photos captured our day perfectly and it was really wonderful to share them with our family–especially since it was just us two and Bailey for our ceremony. We would absolutely recommend We, The Light Photography. The knowledge and professionalism helped us to have a great day that led to amazing photos. After our shoot was over and we were dreaming about lunch, Bailey suggested a sandwich shop (Scratch Deli) for us to stop by on our way to our rental cabin and that was delicious as well!
