Keystone Colorado Elopement | Nik + Rebekah

Nik and Rebekah’s Keystone, Colorado elopement was magical through and through. With a crisp summer sunrise, a visit from a deer, and views that went on for miles and miles, I don’t think they could have had a more perfect elopement day.

Nik and Rebekah have known each other since elementary school, but didn’t start dating in high school after they found themselves spending a ton of time together in church youth group and building sets for theater.

They managed a long-distance relationship throughout college but knew early on that they wanted to marry each other. Nik and Rebekah love adventure, so Nik thought he would pop the question while they were on a day trip snorkeling and hiking in a national park on Koh Samui in Thailand. He even planned for them to celebrate at an outdoor fine dining experience afterward. However, there was extreme winds, so Nik and Rebekah were not able to get to the island national park, as it was a 1.5 hour boat ride. That night they went to dinner and Nik asked Rebekah to be his wife. Rebekah cried and the waiter wondered what was wrong – but they reassured her that all was well!

When they’re not traveling, these two are all about the outdoors. They enjoy running and cycling and even have signed up to do a triathlon together! These two botanical-obsessed cuties are always on the hunt for a new plant or pot to add to their collection.

Nik and Rebekah said their vows at sunrise overlooking an alpine lake during their Keystone, Colorado elopement. A deer even showed up in support as we explored around the lake! We then hiked up to over 12,500 feet to pop some champagne and share a breakfast charcuterie board on what felt like the top of the world. As we worked our way down the mountain, two jets passed close overhead capping off their celebration!
