Ariel + Erik | Lionsgate Event Center Chandelier Barn Wedding

Posted On | January 4, 2018

Ariel and Erik’s story is one that proves that a love that can stand against distance is a love that is worth fighting for. Ariel and Erik both serve in the military and have been stationed far and wide away from each other for the past few years. But they have proved that their love is true and deep and any distance is worth fighting for it. They celebrated their commitment to forever at the chandelier barn at The Lionsgate Event Center in Lafayette, CO.

I was thankful to capture the vows of these high school friends of mine on an unusually warm December evening last week. We got the blessing of snow that had fallen a few days before but their wedding day was fifty degrees and sunny – not your typical December wedding.

Ariel and Erik shared their day with their closest family and friends, and, yes, there were quite a few references to the Disney movie. Ariel’s dad may have admitted that he did named his daughter after The Little Mermaid princess and the was no lack of hints to this duo throughout the day.

Congratulations, Ariel and Erik, and thank you for allowing me into such a special day of your life to freeze those moments in a photograph – you two are meant for each other!
