Sharon and Alphonsus reached out because they were planning a big wedding back home, but felt like it had gotten out of hand with drama. They felt frustrated and hurt that their wedding day turned into something that didn’t feel like them.

So in O.G. elopement fashion, these two decided to have a just-them experience in Boulder, CO, with their pups (🐶 Levi and 🐶 Lucy) three months before their big wedding. They didn’t share the news with the majority of their friends and family until their big wedding celebration back home.

These two got the most magical November day, full of sun, a painted sunset and star peeping. Sharon and Alphonsus wanted to make sure this day was all about them so they brought their two pups (a.k.a. fur children) along to hang out and be pampered by Plus The Pups. It was the perfect combination when the pups got a comfortable escort home while Sharon and Al explored Lost Gulch Overlook at sunset and stayed for stargazing over the city.

My favorite moment was their giddiness that this was actually happening during their private vows at Artists Point as their 🐶🐶 watched.

Eloping isn’t for everyone (and it doesn’t have to be), but I hope that Sharon and Al’s story gives you a kick in the butt to stay true to who you are. I’m so glad they got the best of both worlds.
