Rainy June Elopement in Breck | Megan & Eddie

Megan and Eddie have one of the sweetest proposal stories. Eddie wanted to propose to Megan in the woods that they often took walks in. So he strung up some Christmas lights to make a pseudo-arch.

Megan got off work a little later than normal that night, but Eddie just asked her to trust him and come for an adventure in the woods with him. It was dark outside and pouring rain, so Eddie guided Megan by lantern light under an umbrella. When they reached the lighted arch, he dropped to one knee and asked Megan to marry him.

Rain and unpredictable weather seem to favor these two and turn ordinary moments into magical memories. Their elopement day was no different. All day we were surrounded by on-and-off rain and hail. Despite the weather and changing up locations (again and again) last minute, these two made the most epic memories dancing in the rain and stargazing with the town of Breckenridge lighting up the clouds.

That’s how it should be.

No what ifs.

No must haves.

Just taking the day as it comes even if it involves an emergency coffee warm up break, change of locations , getting drenched in the rain and throwing your sopping wedding dress in a trash bag at the end of the night.

Megan and Eddie are proof that if you embrace what you’re given, it may just turn out better than you could have ever imagined.

Larissa photographed our wedding this past June and we couldn’t imagine working with anyone else. From the start, Larissa was amazing to work with and helped with so many little details, from recommending vendors to picking out locations to helping us pack. Being from out of state, it was so essential to have someone local to work with who had so much knowledge and expertise to share so we could plan the perfect day. She relieved so much stress and was just so so helpful throughout the entire planning process. Then, on the day itself, her relaxed and bubbly attitude just made the whole day so easy ! We have never had professional photos taken and were worried it would be awkward and stressful, but Larissa made it such a fun experience. And then the photos themselves were so gorgeous !!! Everybody we show them to is just amazed by how beautiful and unique they are. I would highly recommend we the light photography and Larissa. We feel so lucky to have worked with her and will treasure these photos forever. We are already hoping to visit Colorado again for a future anniversary and hopefully have her photograph another adventure.
