What do you do if it rains on your wedding day?!
YOU FREAKIN’ EMBRACE IT!
That’s exactly what Jordan and Kellen did when rain threatened to pour most of the day.
Jordan + Kellen met in the science department at college. They initially bonded over culturing sensory neurons from rat spinal cords, but their relationship quickly bloomed from there.
What made them decide each other was THEIR person, was the way these two could effortlessly have deep, bonding, and meaningful conversations: about life, about philosophy, and now about their sweet daughter.
The weather forecast for their June wedding predicted “scattered thunderstorms”. Instead, we had a peaceful beautiful time for their private vows in Breckenridge and a picnic with their daughter next to a gushing waterfall. We hid from the rain in our cars and delayed the start of their ceremony with friends and family until it was just a sprinkle in the air. And we ended the night dancing in the rain as a rainbow appeared and the sun poked under the clouds.
These two truly embraced the meaning of a Colorado elopement – taking on whatever the day brought, being flexible, and not being afraid to dance in the rain.
