My favorite moments from Taylor + Garrett’s River Bend wedding in Lyons, CO:
– Taylor receiving a PIG from Garrett as his wedding gift to her (captured in a picture of course)
– Garrett twirling Taylor around during their first look so he could see just how beautiful she was
– Taylor and Garrett’s two kiddos dressed to the nines in their country attire
– The live band that played during the ceremony and reception
– Their first dance outside, under the stars while mother nature sprinkled some rain
Garrett + Taylor’s wedding day at The Lyons River Bend in Lyons, Co was nothing short of spectacular. Like an old pair of jeans and a cold beer on a Friday night, the whole day was a perfect fit for this fun-loving, family focused, country couple.
Garrett and Taylor met in high school and although they didn’t start dating then, they kept in touch afterwards and finally got together years later. They have two adventurous and handsome boys together that created such a genuine and heartfelt connection between these two. They live in a home with lots of land and love the country way of life. Their love for rustic country played into every detail of their wedding.
Their day started off with getting ready in the River Bend’s glamping tent for the girls. With their matching floral robes that were gifts from Taylor, there was so much excitement and buzz in the air for these two to say “I Do”. The bride and groom exchanged gifts and I have to say that Garrett’s gift to Taylor was probably one of the most memorable gifts I’ve seen. At first, when the best man handed Taylor a card, the gift seemed small. But after opening it up, Taylor came to find out that she was going to be a momma to a baby pig that she had been dying to have. Complete with a picture of the piglet and a note across the top that said, “We love you mom!!!”, this family of four was soon turning to a family of four plus a pig.
This couple decided to do a first look before their ceremony beneath the tall trees next to the river. It was a sweet and simple first look filled with so many emotions and genuine smiles and laughter. My favorite moment was right after Garrett turned around to see his beautiful bride, he took Taylor’s hand and spun her around so he could see every gorgeous angle of his wife-to-be. First looks are perfect to calm those ceremony nerves and to truly have a few moments with just your significant other.
There was not a dry eye during Garrett and Taylor’s ceremony. With hand-written vows straight from the heart, these two showed every person who was present that day how much they truly loved each other and their commitment to forever together.
In true country fashion, Taylor and Garrett hired a three piece band that played live music throughout the evening. This was the perfect touch to being outdoors, in the cool Colorado mountain air. Their first dance took place down near the river on a flagstone dance floor with the starts shining above and string lights lighting up the night sky. A small sprinkle of rain came during their dance and made it one to remember. The night ended with dancing and drinking outside under the stars as Taylor and Garrett spent a few moments together around the campfire, soaking in their wedding day and all the people that were present in their life.
Thank you so much Taylor and Garrett for allowing me to capture your wedding day!
