I think there was no better fit than to shoot my first “wedding” alongside the amazingly talented Emily Schmutz at Keeping Composure Photography who was the photographer at my own wedding four and a half years ago! Emily is the new owner and creative mind behind Summit Mountain Weddings and the gorgeous Summit County Colorado mountain elopements she helps couples plan.

I was thrilled/excited/nervous when she asked me to come along and second shoot for her on a sunny, Saturday afternoon in March at an elopement at Sapphire Point overlooking Lake Dillon. There was snow on the ground, but the sun was shining and warmed you right up. This small, intimate elopement for this Texas couple was charming, sweet, and full of so much love with close friends and family standing nearby. Enjoy!

Meet Larissa. Larissa is an adventure wedding and elopement photographer based out of Colorado. She’d take an adventure in the mountains over shopping + a date night snuggling on the couch over dinner and a movie any day.
