Small Summer Wedding at Grand Lake | Nikki + Chris

Nikki and Chris met on a dating app like so many of our couples! After just one date, Chris made Nikki feel like the luckiest girl in the world.

They decided to go to Nashville to celebrate their anniversary. Chris had plans to propose, but when Nikki brought up a proposal that weekend and asked Chris if it was ever going to happen, Chris had to lie. Noticeably bummed, Nikki agreed to head out and look for the famous pedestrian bridge in Nashville with Chris. After getting lost and having to double back around, Chris finally proposed and asked Nikki to marry him. Everyone around was yelling “She said yes!”

On a sun-filled August afternoon, these two said their vows in front of 9 of their closest family and friends on the edge of Grand Lake. Afterward, we headed out on a small hike in Rocky Mountain National Park for pictures where they cheered to shooters of Jack Daniels.

Back at their rental cabin, their family cooked up their favorite meal of steak and popped open a bottle of wine from a winery with the same last name.

These two were so intentional about keeping their wedding day small, but meaningful. And splitting up their time between family and their own mini-adventure was the perfect way to do that!
