A Soulful Mountain Wedding Full of Stillness and Sunset Magic | Jacqui & Justin
Posted On | October 7, 2021
Some wedding days feel like a perfectly balanced mix of meaning, movement, and beauty—and that’s exactly how Jacqui and Justin’s celebration unfolded. They chose Rocky Mountain National Park not just for the scenery (although, wow, what a backdrop), but because this place felt like it matched the heart of their relationship: grounded, expansive, and full of quiet wonder.

We kicked things off at Sprague Lake, where Jacqui and Justin saw each other for the first time that day. Let’s just say there was no shortage of tears (the good kind). Their first look was one of those moments that felt still and electric all at once. The lake reflected a bluebird sky, and their reactions to seeing each other—relief, joy, nerves, all of it—felt incredibly grounding.
After a few quiet moments together, we wandered around the lake for portraits. It was that dreamy combo of golden light, dramatic peaks, and a couple who clearly couldn’t stop smiling at each other. Eventually, we made our way to a gorgeous meadow for another round of photos. The way these two kept reaching for each other, totally unaware of the camera half the time, said more than any posing ever could.
When it was time for the ceremony, we headed up to the Moraine Park Amphitheater. As the guests gathered and the sun softened, Jacqui and Justin got lined up and ready to make this thing official. Their ceremony was a full-on experience—not just for them, but for every single person who witnessed it. They shared personal vows and took part in a unity ceremony, a beautiful blend of tradition and spontaneity that made it feel entirely their own.
After saying “I do” and sealing it with a kiss, they signed their marriage license with their people gathered close, then took a beat for family portraits while the sun dipped a little lower behind the peaks.
But the day wasn’t over just yet.
We squeezed in one more stop at 3M Curve, one of those classic RMNP spots that somehow never feels overdone when you’re with the right people. Jacqui and Justin got to have a few quiet moments together, soaking it all in before heading off to their reception.
It’s not every day we get to witness a wedding that balances reverence and joy so effortlessly. Jacqui and Justin’s day in Estes Park was full of deep feeling and playful in-between moments. The kind of wedding that doesn’t just celebrate a marriage, but celebrates the way they love each other—and lets everyone else feel it too.
