Stone Shelter Wedding in Boulder | Jenny + Mac
Posted On | October 16, 2020
This Stone Shelter wedding in Boulder, CO, was simple, intentional, and fun! Jenny and Mac wanted to make sure their wedding day was every bit as them as possible – and I’d say they succeeded!
The pair met during an 8 a.m. bio lab at the University of Colorado and knew immediately that they wanted to get married in Boulder, CO. After spending the morning getting ready with their close family and friends, they went off on an adventure on their own visiting spots all over town that were meaningful to them. From ice cream at Ben & Jerry’s to a stroll in the park where they used to walk their dog, each stop was a walk down memory lane.
They eventually made their way up to Flagstaff Mountain, where Jenny first realized that she loved Mac a few weeks into their relationship. This is where their family and friends were waiting for them that day to get married.
They had their Stone Shelter wedding in Boulder, CO. As they shared their vows overlooking the city that they love, a fire that had started nearby earlier that day began to shift towards them, raining down ask and blocking the sun. Not one to let anything spoil their celebration, they decided to forego their sunset hike and head back to their rental house instead! Despite being forced to evacuate the next morning, Jenny and Mac’s wedding day was so intentional in celebrating who they are as a couple and the path that led them to where they are today.
