A 4×4 Trail, a Ghost Town, and a Love Story to Remember | Sasha & Mark

Sasha and Mark’s Telluride alpine lake elopement was nothing short of magical—a day that perfectly captured the spirit of adventure, intimacy, and natural beauty!

It began in the quiet stillness before sunrise, with Sasha and Mark getting ready at the cozy Hotel Ouray. Under the soft, warm alpenglow that lit up the Ouray Courthouse, Sasha and Mark shared their first look. Their quiet smiles and exchanged glances spoke volumes, setting the tone for the day. After grabbing a quick coffee and breakfast we hit the road to nearby Telluride.

The 4×4 trail to their ceremony spot was an adventure in itself, winding through incredible fall colors that painted the landscape in shades of orange and gold. When we finally arrived at the lake, Sasha and Mark were thrilled to find they had the spot entirely to themselves. Against the backdrop of towering peaks and mirrored water, they shared their heartfelt personal vows. They then took time to soak in the moment with a peaceful morning picnic, followed by an adventure exploring around the lake and an old ghost town nearby. 

By late morning, we were back on the road, snacking in the car as we made our way to another scenic lake for the second part of the day!

After meeting up with their loved ones, Sasha walked down the aisle to a thoughtfully curated playlist, with her sister officiating a ceremony that was both personal and deeply emotional. Mark’s family added a special touch with a heartfelt reading, leaving everyone teary-eyed! 

The celebration that followed was full of joy and laughter. They popped champagne and signed their marriage license before taking family portraits in the stunning setting. The joy on their faces said it all as they soaked in the beauty of the day and the love surrounding them.

Sasha and Mark’s Telluride alpine lake elopement was a perfect blend of adventure and heartfelt connection. From their private vows at a secluded alpine lake to the emotional ceremony with their families, every moment felt intentional and uniquely theirs.
