Sabrina and Austin’s laid-back 4×4 elopement in Crested Butte was the perfect mix of adventure and intimacy, filled with personal touches and the kind of effortless joy that makes a day unforgettable.

Captured on both digital and 35mm film, the day started with a quiet excitement at their Airbnb, where they put the finishing touches on their homemade wedding cake—because what’s better than a cake baked with love? Family arrived soon after, stepping in to help with final details, and the moment Sabrina’s mom helped her into her dress, the weight of the day truly set in.

Their first look in a field of wildflowers was nothing short of breathtaking. The way Austin looked at Sabrina—like she was the only thing in the world—was a reminder of why we love these intimate celebrations. After soaking in the moment, we all piled into 4x4s and hit the rugged trail leading to a stunning emerald-green alpine lake, the perfect hidden gem for their ceremony.

With the mountains towering around them and the lake shimmering in the afternoon light, Sabrina and Austin exchanged vows in a ceremony that felt completely their own. There was laughter, a few happy tears, and the kind of raw emotion that makes these moments so powerful. 

After a round of family portraits, we explored the shoreline, taking in the breathtaking scenery while capturing some of the most incredible couples’ portraits. As the evening settled in, we made our way back to the Airbnb, where the reception was as relaxed as the rest of the day. Sabrina and Austin cut into their homemade cake, toasted with their loved ones, and dug into some well-earned pizza—because let’s be honest, nothing beats pizza after a day of adventure.

Their elopement was a perfect reminder that weddings don’t have to be complicated to be meaningful. Sabrina and Austin chose a day that reflected them—laid-back, full of love, and surrounded by the people who matter most. Crested Butte gave them the adventure, but they made it unforgettable.
