When Gemma + Wes first reached out to us about eloping in Colorado after having to make the difficult decision to postpone their dream wedding in the English countryside that they had spent the past 18 months planning, I knew we had to do something special – especially after learning that it was their four children who were pushing them to still get married this year!
They decided that since they couldn’t have all of their friends and family surrounding them on their wedding day, they instead would keep their wedding incredibly intimate, having just their children as witnesses. They spent the morning getting ready together as a family before heading in to Rocky Mountain National Park. Snow began falling as they shared their vows, each of their children helping to tie a knot during their hand fasting ceremony.
Coming from Texas, they had dreamed of a snowy wedding day, and Colorado provided! After giddily saying “I do,” the family of 6 shared a group hug and some hot cocoa to warm up and the snow began REALLY coming down, creating a near whiteout! Gemma + Wes’s wedding day was SO them, and an absolute privilege to capture!
