Jake and Caiti’s Summit County elopement was full of tears of joy, expansive mountain views, kayaking and a campfire.
Their Story
Their relationship is made up of a million little moments of fate. Like the fact that Caiti was supposed to leave for a job out of state, but a bad car accident and a brain injury changed her plans. The very first night that she left the house after the accident (and the same day that she was supposed to be leaving for her new job), she met Jake. They instantly hit it off, and the rest is history!
Why They Chose to Elope
These two already knew they wanted to have a small gathering for their wedding. They have always been a couple who prefers fresh air over the city and don’t like being the center of attention. As they began to plan their 10 person wedding, it quickly turned into 30. So they chose to make it just the two of them and commit themselves to each other in a location that they fell in love with together – Colorado.
Their Summit County Elopement
Up until the very second Jake and Caiti said “I do” under the warm Colorado sunshine for their Summit County elopement, everything that could have changed in their plans did. But, these two were troopers and weren’t going to let anything stop them from getting married!
Spending the day with these two, Bailey was tearing up CONSTANTLY. We swear you guys, we have never met a couple who is more tender and loving towards each other – and adventurous too! Jake and Caiti hiked along Summit County’s miles of trails, kayaked along the banks of a mountain lake and shared their first dance on the banks of Lake Dillion. After their vows were said and rings exchanged, Jake and Caiti snuggled up to a campfire. As the sun set and the stars began to peek out, the newlyweds shared their first night together by roasting s’mores over the fire.
There is no doubt in our mind that their elopement day was every bit “them” as it possibly could have been.
